Yesterday I went to a carboot sale at Cockermouth. I like carboot sales but I proper did not want to go to this one, it's really small. There's never really much stuff that's i'd want to buy, it's all baby clothes and chavvy ornaments. But I managed a few:

I got this Clam shell thingy, which could be used to put my earrings in or rings. It was only £2, so not too bad. 

Another ring holder, I have a lot of rings... 70p

I think this would look pretty under a collar, not bad for 50p!

I'm still trying to find a watch to replace my old favourite I lost in Leeds. I thought I did find one on ASOS marketplace but they have failed to send me it, or give me a refund. I'm so mad. This will have to do for now. 

I have no idea why I bought this...

I haven't done one of these posts for a long time! And I should have really, over Christmas I bought so much! The Charity shops in Cumbria are just the best. I would have though Leeds would have good Charity shops but I don't even bother to go in them anymore. There are a lot of Vintage shops in Leeds, so I thought all the nice things from the Charity shops must be sold to the local Vintage shops. It's too expensive to shop Vintage all the time, you can just as good at Carboot sales, Markets and Charity Shops. 

The first shop we went in to, Dylan found this dark grey 80's Bomber Jacket. Since starting my project based on 80's fashion, which in all honesty I was not too fond of the style in that decade before I started the brief. I have since found my love for that period. I have another bomber jacket which I got at a Vintage Kilo sale in Leeds just before Christmas and I wear it all the time! Even though it's extremely patterned (I can't tell you what the pattern resembles, it's mad) blue and purple. This grey one will be a lot more wearable and I managed to get it for £3.79!

I don't usually wear bracelets, i'm more of a watch fan. You wouldn't have thought it looking at my Jewellery collection though! I'm not sure how old they are, but they look so retro. I got both of these for 50p!

Whilst waiting in the queue I couldn't help myself, I had to buy this as well. I think it could look pretty quite tight underneath a collar of a cream/white shirt. 

I wasn't completely sold on this shirt, but I loved the pattern. The fabric felt quite expensive also. The Charity shop I got this from was Buy one get one Free so I got it for £2.50!

I got this Paisley patterned shirt for £3, even though I bought it my sister is arguing with me over who should keep it! All I seem to do is buy things for her, hmmm, i'll think about it. 

I'm completely obsessed with Candelabras at the moment I have 4 now! This one is similar to my first one but teenie, it'll be perfect to store my rings on. 

I love teacups, I really want to make teacup candles. This was a set of 6 cups and saucers, they're so cute, i'm considering selling them on my online shop. (When I get it up and running!)

I was in two minds whether or not to buy these Soup Bowls. They are really cute and I especially love the illustrations to represent the different types of soup, Pumpkin, Chicken, Onion and Mushroom. I would love to keep them for myself but I don't have a house, i'm still a student so i'm sure I could find them loving home. I'll be putting them in my shop when I get round to it. 

Dylan bought me this tshirt, (this is the back) the front has a little grey logo on the front. I love it. 

Most clothing I buy is branded St.Michaels and it is one of my favourites. Although this picture doesn't show it, the belt is Navy blue. £3. 

And because I just can't have enough scarves!

I'm not one of those hugely Royalist people but i think these mugs are just so pretty and flowery. And at least when i move to Leeds i'll know if someones stolen my cups! I got these in charity shops recently for £2.20 altogether. 

I saw this weird little pendant on a stall at Silloth Carboot sale, i don't know how old it is but it looks so strange and for 50p why not? I think the pendant part is close to snapping, so i might even stick it on a ring! 

I just love the colours and the gold on this saucer. I found it in a £1 box in Keswick's Magpie Vintage. My sister actually bought the set for £7 but i'm planning on putting this in my Fashion Inspiration Project box.

Thankfully my boyfriend used his skills to get this Vintage Orange Crocodile Skin purse for only £5 at Penrith Carboot sale! I think it's beautiful.

So i've been collecting these old souvenir spoons recently. I saw this man at the Whitehaven Festival making jewellery out of cutlery so i thought i could give it a go, making these into rings. You can usually find these for £1 each.

This lovely silk scarf is from Magpie Vintage again, for £8. A bit more than i would usually spend on a scarf, especially when charity shops are full of them for under £1! But i couldn't resist. 

A broken but quite unusually looking LED watch from Silloth Carboot sale for £1.

I got these old postcards from a little Antique shop in Keswick a couple of weeks ago, for my Vintage Inspiration Box as part of my Uni summer homework. I love the one on the right, i think it has a sort of Native American style to it. But i got these for £3.50 altogether. 

For sure my Inspiration box is going to be full! This is what i have collected in only the past couple of weeks. Now to get started of my "Mini-Me" doll of myself for university. When i'm finished i'll post photos!

I have wanted a Crocodile bag for so long now but they've always been too expensive. But on the first stall i looked at in Judy Vintage Fair, i saw this bag for only £10! It's so much prettier in person and i can safely say it will never leave my shoulder!

Again, how could you resist a £1 bin? Or belts even? 

I found a stall that sold little odds and ends. Broken bits of jewellery and watch faces. I'd seen quite a few of the stalls selling watch face rings for around £8-£10, so i thought why not just make my own. It's cheaper. But i've decided to put them all together to make a bracelet, a bracelet of 9 watch faces. At £1 each i think it will make a very unique piece of jewellery!

I found this ugly watch face on that same stall, that didn't even have a cover. I put it back a then saw the back of it and the amount of interesting detail they have. This is going to make a lovely ring for £1.

These are just a couple of badges i came across for £1 each, i especially like the really old Disney badge.

And a moustache! 

So here are some of the things i managed find at Kendal Calling. There was a really pretty vintage floral dress i wish i'd bough now. Damn.

I'm in love with this bag. It did take good deal of hunting for but it was worth it. I got this from Absolute Vintage (the big one, near Bricklane). I was originally looking for a Crocodileskin bag but they were just too pricey. This was only £20!

As my Boyfriend's New Blood thingy was in Spitalfields there was really nothing else for me to do other than wander round the vicinity. I found this little stall selling vintage items, and nothing really caught my eye except this cutting of old floral fabric for £2. I think it's beautiful. It isn't a vast amount, i'd say maybe 1.5m² but i can't see myself using it. It's too pretty and i know i won't find anything good enough to make with it.

I also ended up buying a couple of belts, you can never have too many brown belts. Last year i lost my favourite in the London Dungeon, this year i had back-ups! Left: I got this Crocodile skin belt from a £1 bin in Absolute Vintage. Right: And this one is from another stall at Spitalfields. 

Even though New Blood was finished with i had heard there was a Vintage fair on in Spitalfields on the weekend. So obviously i dragged Dylan along. I got these sunglasses for only £2 each! I'm quite disappointed i didn't buy more in London but i'd rather buy quality things, rather than a lot of shit. I did buy a beautiful vintage silk shirt from Camden Market, but i've just worn it so i don't have a photo...

So as you will have gathered from my last post, i have just come back from a trip to London with my boyfriend. Here are a few of the lovely vintage things i managed to pick up. I live in a small town, with the clothes shops consisting of a New Look and a Topshop. So unless you order an outfit off the internet, you can guarantee there is at least a handful of people with the same dress as you. At least with Vintage shopping you have a guarantee you'll be the only one wearing it, and it's prettier.
