LEATHER, SPIKES AND FISHNET TIGHTS

These are my final edits for my exhibition. I'm really happy with the photos, i think the offsetting has a powerful impact and portrays a darkness to the photos. I also thought the red could symbolise the "sexiness" and the blood of torture. At first i wanted to do a photoshoot in the style of actual bondage but after planning i feel it would have taken away from the overall 'look' of my exhibition. I will already be showcasing my garment and two fetish masks; so i wouldn't want the photos to be too over the top. I think these are simple enough but by no means boring.

I had my photoshoot for my final piece today, i think it went quite well considering it was held in my conservatory using a white bed sheet. I'm not yet sure how many photos i want to display at my exhibition but i'm going to choose a handful to edit and see which looks best.

 

SUNDAY PORTRAIT WEEK 004

001. Another week of being extremely busy! I will post photos of my work soon, but i'd rather show you when it's finished. My project is coming along, i'm feeling a lot more confident about it this week. I have decided to make a leather bustier with nails sticking through and a metal cage to go over the top, maybe even a pleated leather skirt if i have time also. I made the metal cage this week in sculpture, it wasn't as hard as i expected (plus i had Dylan there to help). I'm really pleased with how it turned out but i now have quite a bit of filing to do, i can't imagine wearing a sort of metal back brace would be too comfortable! 

002. I have also been screen printing this week, i didn't at any point want to have print on my design but i thought the fact i'd tried it would look good with my work. I hadn't done screen printing for over a year and when i did i hated it, i didn't get any help at all. I tried to catch up with work but as i was ill for a couple of lessons i felt like i was too behind and the print lady is scary, and i mean really scary! Gutted when she remembered me, i ended up quitting her lesson and by the looks of things she was still not happy about it. 

003. I think it i went to print again i would find it a lot easier, i'd really like to print some t-shirts when i've finished my FMP. I have a few designs i'd like to do so i hope i have the to time to do it! If not, fabric transfers it is...

004. I've finally decided what university i want to go to.  I chose Leeds College of Art, i'm not sure if it's the right decision, but i guess i'll never know what's best for me. It's in a better location, i have friends there, the shops are more to my taste and it's closer to home (and my kittens).  Now all i've got to do is get the grades! Ah!

SUNDAY PORTRAIT WEEK 003

001. This week has been super busy! My deadline for my FMP is in 16 days, ahhh! I don't know why i barely have any work to show for it, i've done way too much research, again, about 40 pages i think. I've been doing my designs wherever i can, and have not been out for this entire project. I thought i'd have way more to show for it though. I'm such a perfectionist. 

002. As you can tell i'm at Dylans, (Levi top). My parents are still on holiday in Benidorm, but honestly nothing exciting has happened recently. all i seem to do is work on this project and Dylan finishes uni soon so he's super busy also. I can't wait to be finished and go back to having days out charity shopping and trips to the cinema, and drunkness! 

003. Apologies for the last of posts, there won't be many until my deadline. If i don't get the grades i can't go to university and won't be designing your clothes in the future!

I don't know why i even bother looking on other websites for clothes, apart from one ring my entire post is from Topshop. I love this dress, it looks perfect for summer, coming from someone who generally dislikes the season. I couldn't really decide which shoes to put with this outfit, I'm in actual love with the Lisbon Wood Heel Sandals, they are so pretty! A bit of the expensive side though, considering the amount of heels i currently own (and the fact i'm extremely clumsy and would probably break them soon enough). I thought the flats would go great for a daytime look, more festival-ly, which reminds me i have to buy my Kendal Calling ticket tonight! I wasn't going to put a bag with this outfit, i rarely buy bags from anywhere other than charity shops to be honest. But Seeing this wicker bag has changed my mind. I'd love to find a vintage one somewhere, but if all else fails. 

SUNDAY PORTRAIT WEEK 002

001. Another week has gone by so quickly and again, i don't know what i've done. I'm been trying to do work for my FMP but it just seems to be taking forever to do, i still don't feel any closer from the first week of brief! I really don't think i'm going to pass this project, any therefore won't be able to go to university. My life sucks. 

002. One thing i do remember doing is over spending. I bought the green dress from my previous post, as well as the purse. I tried the dress on today, it's lovely. I just don't know where i would where it! So that's £40 gone, there is no way i would have spent as much for no occasion if i hadn't had 20% with Unidays. I'm such a stinge. I also purchased the Maverick Cut-out boots from this post for around £35 (i think) but they were on sale, so i kinda had to. New (vintage) wellies for Kendal Calling and about £30 worth of PVC for my fetish/torture garment. Bare in mind i don't have a job.  

003. My parents are on holiday so i'm having to live with my boyfriend for 5 days, they don't trust me alone in the house y'see. Notice the messy wardrobe and Madness t-shirt. I feel for my sister, she's living at my grandmas with no internet, or Tv. Ha! I'm definitely not going to miss the 3 hours i spent of the train everyday, but i miss my kitties. I expect more than i "I Heart Benidorm" t-shirt like i go last year though!

004. I haven't really got a lot to say about this past week. I do need to publish some of my old posts though, i'll get round to it eventually! Also, church bells have been going off for almost an hour, i'm tempted to jump out of the top floor window!

I'm in shock that there's so many things in Topshop that i am in love with. I've never liked Neon (it has reminded me of a chavvy rave for under 18's) but i really need this dress. I already have a leather jacket that looks exactly like this one but i would quite like to add another to my wardrobe. But at £165, i think i'll have to look on ebay. I have wanted these boots for so long now, i'm not really a boot kind of gal, i tend to think they made my feet look big, but insecurity goes out of the window when theres a sale! I was so close to buying the purse when i was in Leeds.

I'm off to london in a few weeks, Dylan is off to some festival called New Blood so we are staying at his friends house for 5 days. We went last year for Wireless Festival and it was so fun, i love London. I'm hoping to stuff in as much museums and tourist activities as possible. The Topshop is amazing, last year i was in there for literally 3 hours! I will have everything on this post by then!

I WISH I COULD REMEMBER WHERE THOSE SHOES ARE FROM...

Well, i was going to do an outfit post today. But i seem to have kicked my camera off the table and smashed the screen. I really need to get to Comet to get it fixed, but i can't drive, don't have the paperwork and would really not like to ask my parents for any of the above. It's my third camera in a year, so i'm debating whether i should just buy a new one for about £87 rather than suffer the wrath of my mum and dad.

Anyway, to the point, i've just gotten a Pinterest account and i am actually obsessed. For those of you who don't know what Pinterest is, it's a virtual inboard where you can post and share all the lovely things you find on the internet keeping them organised in different categories! You can download the "Pin it" button to go on your bookmarks bar so, if you're like me and find an amazing pair of brown suede loafers with a leopard vamp toe, and you can't for the love of you remember where you saw them! You won't have that problem. It is an invite only website but if you send a request they should get back to you in a few days.
